We are very aware that we, as part of the fashion and textile industry, have an impact on our planet's climate and environment. Knowing that we will never be 100% sustainable, we try to work as responsibly as we can, and take the possible steps in the right direction.
We care about MATERIALS
We focus on choosing materials, zippers, buttons, linings, down, etc., of good quality. This means that Junge's outerwear is durable and ages gracefully.
We use, to the extent possible, materials that are recycled.
We have several styles in the collection that are made from 100% recycled materials.
They are labeled with 'Recycled by Junge'.
We care about ANIMALS
Junge produces exclusive outerwear with the highest quality down. They are certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).
This certification means, among other things, that plucking from live animals and force-feeding are prohibited.
In order for the suppliers to meet this standard, the entire value chain from farm to finished product is regularly checked, and the down is therefore 100% traceable.
We care about THE ENVIRONMENT
At Junge, we set requirements for the chemicals our suppliers use in production.
Therefore, we continuously work with them to environmentally certify our products.
Some suppliers, for example, are OEKO-Tex certified.
Traceability
Junge continuously collaborates with our suppliers to be as responsible and transparent as possible.
Therefore, we are working on getting the materials we work with, and the outerwear we launch, certified.
Several of our materials and styles are certified with one of the following certificates:
Ensures that all components of this item, i.e., fabric, thread, button, zipper, and other accessories, are tested for harmful substances - and that the product is therefore harmless to human health.
The RDS certification ensures that the down in products comes from animals that have not been subjected to harm.
Furthermore, the RDS label guarantees that the down production has adhered to strict animal welfare standards
(including no live plucking, no force-feeding, regular welfare checks, traceability in the supply chain, and a focus on the ethical treatment of animals).
